Don Juan

Don Juan, a restless young nobleman with a lavish lifestyle, lives in Sicily with his loyal servant Sganarelle, where he seduces both young noblewomen and simple maidservants alike. He is solely interested in conquering his chosen target, and his interest wanes instantly once his goal is achieved. He abducts Donna Elvira from the convent, marries her, murders her father, the Commander, and abandons her in the same moment with flimsy excuses. This time, however, his escape has serious consequences, as not only is Donna Elvira seeking revenge, but her brothers also demand retribution.

With Don Juan, Molière created a delightful comedy designed solely to entertain the audience and draw them into this wondrous world.
